This tropical pitcher plant is a hybrid of Nepenthes khasiana x (ventricosa x maxima). It’s easy to grow and produces fun striped pitchers. Available in 4″ hanging baskets.
Care Instructions
This Nepenthes wants some bright light, but no direct sunlight. A bright windowsill or terrarium will work great.
Use only rainwater, distilled water, water from a Reverse Osmosis System, or water with TDS (total dissolved solids) of 75 or less. You can buy a TDS tester in the Supplies section of our website. You never want a Nepenthes to dry out, so it’s best to watch the water levels or use a shallow tray underneath.
Does well in a mix of organic peat moss (75%) to perlite (25%) or just Long Fiber Sphagnum Moss. Don’t use potting soil or commercially grown peat moss which may contain fertilizers.
Keep this plant between around 50 to 75 degrees. It can handle the cold during short dips below 50, but not for too long.
Nepenthes do not go dormant.
