Look closely at the inside of this Venus Flytrap. Look closely at the inside of this Venus Flytrap. You'll see a few trigger hairs which cause the trap to close when they're disturbed. The larger and more prominent "teeth" on the outside are there to keep the insect inside. If the insect is too small, the teeth will allow it to escape as to not waste the energy of the plant. #venusflytraps #carnivorousplants
